Rousing re-interpretation of a ballet classic

‹Giselle› is considered the epitome of romantic ballet. First performed in Paris in 1841, it is about a peasant girl who falls for a duke. Pontus Lidberg brings the story into the modern day. The choreographer, filmmaker and dancer is a versatile and visionary artist. His Giselle is a migrant, who is betrayed and rejected by her rich lover Albrecht. The tragic story of love beyond the grave, told as a rousing re-interpretation.
