Lavanant Linke Mezzo-soprano

After studying sculpture at the Beaux Arts School in Paris, Solenn' discovered her vocation for lyrical art with Gary Magby at the HEM in Lausanne. Immediately after graduating, she joined the opera studio of Theater Basel (2009) and continued this collaboration as a member of the ensemble under the direction of Dietmar Schwarz and Georges Delnon, while the theatre was repeatedly awarded the title 'Opera House of the Year'. She sang Medee at the Zurich Opera, Cherubino at the Bavarian State Opera, Donna Elvira at the Lucerne Theatre, Elle in 'La voix humaine' in Geneva, Carmen and Dorabella with Calixto Bieito in Basel. At the Festival d'Aix en Provence she sang roles such as Ottavia, Dido and Ippolita under the direction of Leonardo García Alarcón. In 21/22 she was Artist in Residence at the Staatstheater Mainz as Orlofsky, Haensel, Ramiro and Piacere. She gave concerts with the MDR Symphony Orchestra at Erfurt Cathedral and the Gewandhaus Leipzig. Solenn' Lavanant Linke has been a member of the Lucerne Theatre ensemble since the 21/22 season. She recently appeared there in 'Bluebeard's Castle', 'Der Rosenkavalier', 'Alcina', 'Hänsel und Gretel' and Vivaldi's 'Giustino'. At Theater Basel, she will take on the role of Fricka in 'Ring des Nibelungen'.
