Mezzo-soprano

After studying sculpture at the Beaux Arts School in Paris, Solenn' Lavanant Linke discovered her vocation for singing with Gary Magby at the HEM in Lausanne. Immediately after graduating, she joined the opera studio of the Theater Basel (2009) and continued this collaboration as a member of the ensemble under the direction of Dietmar Schwarz and Georges Delnon, while the theater was repeatedly awarded the title of Opera House of the Year. She sang Médée at the Zurich Opera House, Cherubino Le nozze di Figaro at the Bavarian State Opera, Donna Elvira Don Giovanni at the Lucerne Theater, Elle in ‹La voix humaine› in Geneva and Carmen and Dorabella Così fan tutte in productions by Calixto Bieito in Basel. At the Festival d'Aix en Provence she sang roles such as Ottavia, Dido and Ippolita under the direction of Leonardo García Alarcón. In 21/22 she was Artist in Residence at the Staatstheater Mainz as Orlofsky, Hänsel, Ramiro and Piacere. She has given concerts with the MDR Symphony Orchestra in Erfurt Cathedral and the Gewandhaus Leipzig. Solenn' Lavanant Linke has been a member of the Lucerne Theater ensemble since the 21/22 season, where her roles have included Judith in ‹Herzog Blaubarts Burg›, Octavian in ‹Der Rosenkavalier›, Ruggiero in ‹Alcina› and Idamante in ‹Idomeneo›. At Theater Basel, she takes on the role of Fricka in Benedikt von Peter's ‹Ring des Nibelungen› and returns to Basel for ‹Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny› in the 25/26 season.
