New Year's Eve at Theater Basel
Three stages, one venue – and a night full of theater, music, and dance. On December 31, we will celebrate the New Year together and transform Theater Basel into a huge New Year's Eve stage.
After the performances, we invite you to the foyer, where the party begins: with live music, good drinks, and a program that will keep you dancing until the early hours of the morning. Admission to the party is included in the performance ticket – those who just want to celebrate can also purchase a separate party ticket. All performance guests will receive a complimentary glass of champagne to toast the new year.
Actress Ann Mayer will host the evening. Lena Knobloch and Atrin Madani will be on stage with the live band, getting the foyer rocking. The Ballet Basel ensemble will also be part of the night and will help shape the evening – but that's all we're revealing for now.
After the countdown and the midnight waltz, the DJ will take over and keep the dance floor full until the early hours of the morning with the biggest hits.
And of course, theater is a must. On the main stage, we will show the ballet ‹Der Liebhaber›, on the small stage the opera for families ‹La Cenerentola›, and in the Schauspielhaus the play ‹Die Ritter des Mutterkorns›.
