Manuela
Manuela Linshalm comes from Vienna. She received her acting training at the Franz Schubert Konservatorium. She learned puppetry from Nikolaus Habjan and Neville Tranter. Engagements have taken her to the Akademietheater Wien, Theater an der Wien, Residenztheater München, the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Volkstheater Wien. She appeared in a TV comedy series for ServusTV in 2010 as well as in various TV programmes and short films. Since 2009 she has worked continuously as a puppeteer at the Schubert Theater Wien. She has developed several solo puppet theatre pieces, currently: 'Was geschah mit Baby Jane?' and 'Die Welt ist ein Würstelstand'. Under the direction of Nikolaus Habjan, she played Mephistopheles in Goethe's 'Faust' at the Theater Next Liberty in Graz, in 'Oberon' at the 2017 Münchner Opernfestspiele and in the Austrian premiere of Elfriede Jelinek's 'Am Königsweg' in St. Pölten, among others. Most recently she appeared in 'Der Leichenverbrenner' at the Akademietheater Wien and in 'Die Entführung aus dem Serail' at the Opernhaus Dortmund. Since 2009 she has been a lecturer at the 1st Filmacademy in Vienna. She also works as a coach in the field of puppetry.
