Osthoff Dramaturgy

Angela Osthoff, born in Würzburg in 1990, completed the Studium Generale at Leibniz Kolleg in Tübingen. From 2011 to 2017, she studied Ancient Greek and History in Freiburg and Durham in England as a scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung. During this time, she spent several months as a research assistant at the International School for Holocaust Studies of Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, at the German Historical Institute London and at the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center in Nassau County, New York. From 2016 to 2017, Angela Osthoff was assistant dramaturg at the Theater Freiburg during the last two seasons of Barbara Mundel's artistic directorship. The following year she was engaged at the Luzerner Theater under the artistic directorship of Benedikt von Peter, where she realised works with Ivna Žic, Bruno Cathomas and Max Merker. From 2018 to 2019 she worked with Simone Blattner, Friederike Heller, Wojtek Klemm and Tom Schneider at the Theater Neumarkt in Zurich in the last year of the Kastenmüller/Fiedler directorship. In 2020 she realised a work as a guest with Mina Salehpour at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden. Angela Osthoff has been dramaturg at Theater Basel since the 20/21 season.
