Lucien Haug, born in Basel in 1992, is an author, dramaturge and theatre sac meter. He studied at the Bern University of the Arts and primarily writes plays in German and Swiss German. He has a long-standing collaboration with the jungen theatre basel. He has worked as a writer for the Schauspielhaus Zürich, the Maxim Gorki Theater, the Verein der Flaneure, the Junge Marie, as a director for the Treibstoff Theatertage Basel, as a theatre pedagogue for the Junge Bühne Bern and the Voyeure, as a curator of literary events for the Festival BuchBasel and runs various writing workshops. As a writer, he is often part of the rehearsal process and works on the text continuously, sitting and sleeping. When he is not searching for rare animals, Lucien Haug is the centre-back of the national writers:inside football team and is writing an unreadable novel.
