Clara Rueff began her vocal studies in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in the class of Barbara Bonney at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Before that, she trained for a year in Paris with Anne le Coutour in singing and with Béatrice Houplain and Claudine Hulnaut in acting, and also for a year in Salzburg with Kjellaug Tesaker in the preparatory class for singing at the Mozarteum. In Salzburg, she soon began giving several recitals with pianist Patrick Leung, for example at Schloss Arenberg. Since 2019 she continues her vocal studies at the Hochschule für Musik Basel in the class of Marcel Boone. She participated in several productions of the Hochschule Basel: Honegger's 'King David' (conducted by Raphael Immoos), Rossini's 'La Cenerentola' as Tisbe and Weill's 'Mahagonny Songspiel' as Bessie (conducted by Rodolfo Fischer and directed by Pablo Maritano). She also sang the solo alto part in several Schubert masses, at the Stadtcasino Basel (conducted by Tobias Stückelberger) and at the Martinskirche Basel (conducted by Raphael Immoos). Clara Rueff has been taking regular lessons with singing teacher Léa Sarfati for years. She has also taken part in several master classes with Robert Expert, Sandrine Piau, Brigitte Fassbaender and Margreet Honig.
