- Konzept, Inszenierung und Ausstattung – Philippe Quesne
- Only 6 performances
- Recommended age: 10+
- With English surtitles
Somewhere in the universe five space dwellers live isolated in a hollowed out asteroid. Nature, art, science, human civilization - what does it mean for them far away from the here and now? And what do they find on other planets? In fantastic worlds, the small community gets into tangled, often comical situations. Philippe Quesne is known for his tender fables infused with humor and wonder. The French visual artist and theater maker stages a science fiction play between reverie and utopia.
About the work
NEW! Digital bookstall
Together with our dramaturgy team, Basel’s arts centre Bider and Tanner has been curating the bookstall for our performances for many years. The wide range of books, CDs, DVDs, catalogues and even sheet music is now available 24/7 in the online shop. It’s worth taking a regular look.
NEW! Instead of a matinée – before the premiere
Shortly before the premiere, during the final rehearsals, we invite you to take an exclusive look behind the scenes. During an initial introduction you will get to know the artistic team and learn more about the production, inspiration and staging. Afterwards you will witness a stage rehearsal.

Extra Wochen – Festival 20.08. to 03.10.21
We were unable to show the nine performances as much as we would have liked in recent months; ‹Cosmic Drama› was one of them. We will be staging all of them during our ‹Extra Wochen› festival in the space of just a few weeks. The festival runs from 20 August to 3 October. With a cocktail bar, BBQ, ice cream and lots more. Tickets go on sale on 10 June 2021.
