Rachael Wilson's recent engagements include her debut at Opernhaus Zürich as Balkis in a new production of Offenbach's 'Barkouf' and Olga in 'Eugene Onegin', and at the Glyndebourne Festival as Hermia in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. At the Staatsoper Stuttgart she will appear as Charlotte Werther and in the title role of 'Carmen'. On the concert stage, Rachael has performed Messiaen's 'Harawi' at the Ruhrtriennale and Spoleto Festival; she will record and perform Zemlinsky's 'A Florentine Tragedy' with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester, and she made her debut with the Orchestre national d'Île de France in Prokofiev's 'Ivan the Terrible' and in a programme with the Deutsches Symphonieorchester Berlin and Kent Nagano. Rachael will also return to the Opernhaus Zürich, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Staatsoper Stuttgart and Glyndebourne Festival, and make her debut at La Monnaie in Brussels, Staatsoper Hamburg, Malmö Opera, Santa Fe Opera and the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
During her time at the Bayerische Staatsoper (2015-19), Rachael's roles included. as Kay ('The Snow Queen' by Hans Abrahamsen), Hansel ('Hansel and Gretel'), Dorabella ('Così fan tutte'), Cherubino ('Le nozze di Figaro'), the Turnerin ('Lulu'), Bersi ('Andrea Chénier') and Fatime in Weber's 'Oberon' - a performance for which she was awarded the Bayerischer Festspielpreis.
