Matias
Rocha Moura Tänzer

Matias Moura is Portuguese. He grew up in Viseu, where he started his dance training in his father's dance school. In his last years of high school, he moved to Lisbon to study at the National Conservatory Dance School. Matias then attended Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam, where he received a Bachelor degree in dance performer. During his last year at the university, Matias was an intern with Scapino Ballet Rotterdam and ICK Dans Amsterdam. After graduating, he became a member of Ballet Theater Basel in 2021. Throughout his education and dance career, he has danced works by Wayne Mcgregor, Roy Assaf, Nacho Duato, Andonis Foniadakis, Lucinda Childs, Ed Wubbe, Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten. In 2019, Matias was granted a scholarship from the Corrie Hartong Dansfonds.
