Matias
Rocha Moura Dancer

Matias Rocha Moura lives in Brussels and works as a freelance artist, dancer, performer and DJ. He left his hometown in Portugal at the age of 14 to pursue his dream of becoming a professional dancer. Matias studied at the National Conservatory of Lisbon and at Codarts in Rotterdam in the Netherlands, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Dance. In his final year he completed an internship at the Scapino Ballet Rotterdam under the artistic direction of Ed Wubbe and at the ICK Amsterdam under the artistic direction of Emio Greco. For the next two years he worked as a permanent member of the ballet ensemble of the Theater Basel under the artistic direction of Richard Wherlock. He danced in works by Sharon Eyal, Marcos Morau, Imre and Marne van Opstal, Alexander Ekman and others. In the 23/24 season, Matias is involved in 'Ein Kafka Projekt' directed by Saar Magal at the Theater Basel.
