Laurie Hamiche was born in Toulouse in 1997. She began her musical training at the age of five on the violin and with Gregorian chant. After finishing her violin studies with Pierre Bleuse, she returned to singing. She was taught by Jacques Schwartz before moving to Paris to study with Julie Hassler. Since 2018, Hamiche has been studying in the bachelor's degree programme in singing with Isolde Siebert at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel. In addition to music, the young singer also studied Italian at the Sorbonne in Paris and has worked in both the social and commercial sectors.
With the 'Maîtrise de Toulouse' (Regent Record Ltd.), the singer has already recorded four CDs, including several world premieres, which have received awards from the international press. Laurie has worked with ensembles such as the Sacqueboutiers (Jordi Savall), with the Orchestre National du Capitole (Tugan Sokhiev), the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles, the Bristol Cathedral Choir or the Ensemble Gilles Binchois (Dominique Vellard).
In the 2020/21 season, she has already performed at Theater Basel in 'Im Flow der Apokalypse' and is involved in 'Unter dem Meer' in 2023/24. She also performs with the Chorakademie Lübeck under the direction of Rolf Beck in Budapest, Hong Kong, South Korea and Germany and gives private singing lessons in the Basel area.
