Kiesler Choir direction

Julia Kiesler, born in 1977 in East Germany, studied speech and literature at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg from 1997 to 2002. For many years she has been a speech teacher at the Hochschule der Künste Bern in the theatre department in drama training. She has also worked and continues to work as a voice and speech coach at various theatres, including Theater Chemnitz, Bühnen Bern, Theater Basel and Theater St. Gallen. In 2018, she completed her doctorate with the publication 'Der performative Umgang mit dem Text' (The Performative Approach to Text) on various approaches to text development in contemporary theatre and worked with the directors Laurent Chétouane, Claudia Bauer, Volker Lösch and the chorus director Bernd Freytag.
