Congratulations! Benedikt von Peter, Intendant and Artistic Director of the Opera, is one of the six nominees in the 'Director of the Year' category for the International Opera Award 2024. This international prize is considered the "Opera Oscar" in the professional world. The award will be presented at the Bavarian State Opera on 2 October - be there live and keep your fingers crossed! Benedikt von Peter is currently in the final rehearsals for the Basel Ring cycle. The last two parts, 'Siegfried' and 'Götterdämmerung', will premiere on 28 September and 6 October.
