Oleg tepanov was born in Russia and graduated from the department of physics at Ural State University in Yekaterinburg. At the same time, he studied contemporary dance at the Contemporary Art Center in Yekaterinburg, Urals. He started his dance career at the age of 23 and joined GöteborgsOperans Danskompani in 2013. In 2016-2023, he was part of Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch. Oleg has collaborated in original creations with choreographers such as Dimitris Papaioannou, Saburo Teshigawara, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Alan Lucien Øyen, Richard Siegal, Constanza Macras, Uri Ivgi & Johan Greben, Arika Yamada, Jim de Block, Jan Spotak, and Ophelia Young. Oleg creates music and is also a film maker. His artistic vision is based on the observation of the body in space and space in the body. In particular Oleg sees the movement as a synthesis between the architecture and biomechanics of the body and a sensitive and sensorial inner journey.
