Frank Fannar Pedersen began his dance education at The National Ballet School of Iceland. Before graduating in 2008 he was a guest student at The Finnish National Opera Ballet School in Helsinki in 2006. He started his professional career with an apprenticeship in Iceland Dance Company before moving to Barcelona in Spain to dance for IT Dansa. In 2011 he was hired as a solo dancer for Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, directed by Stephan Thoss. From 2014 until 2022, he was employed by Ballet Theater Basel under the direction of Richard Wherlock. Pedersen has performed work by choreographers such as Jiři Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Johan Inger, Hofesh Shechter, Alexander Ekman, Sharon Eyal, Stijn Celis, Ed Wubbe, Bryan Arias, Stephan Thoss and Richard Wherlock, among others. He was nominated as Hoffnungsträger des Jahres 2015 by the Jahrbuch Tanz.

Pedersen's choreographic career commenced in 2012, and consists of commissioned work for National Theater Mannheim, Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Iceland Dance Company, Ballet Theater Basel as well as participation in Hannover Choreographic Competition, Tanzplatform Bern, Nordic Cool in Washington and Salisbury International Arts Festival in the UK.
