Ekaterina
Shushakova Dancer

Ekaterina Shushakova was born in Moscow where she began her dance education at the school of Nikolai Ogryzkov. At the age of seventeen she moved to the Netherlands to study at the Codarts Rotterdam Dance Academy, where she won the scholarship of Excellence. Ekaterina has been working as a dancer and performer for the past thirteen years, both as a freelancer and as a member of several established European companies such as Scånes Dansteater, GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, and Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch. She has worked with choreographers such as Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Felix Landerer, Marina Mascarell, Saburo Teshigawara, Pedro Goucha Gomes, Michael Keegan-Dolan, Anton Lachky, Sharon Eyal, Heidi Vierthaler, Stijn Celis, Dimitris Papaioannou, Hiroaki Umeda, Anouk van Dijk and Stephen Shropshire. Ekaterina works as a dancer for Ballett Basel since August 2023.
