Balz Stückelberger (*1972) has been Managing Director of the Employers' Association of Banks in Switzerland (Arbeitgeber Banken) since 2010 and is Head of Legal Affairs and Social Partnership. He holds a doctorate in law and is a member of the Federal Labour Commission as well as various committees and expert groups of national and international employers' associations. In addition to his professional mandates, Balz Stückelberger is involved in various organisations in the fields of politics, sport and culture. For example, he is a member of the cantonal council of Basel-Landschaft, a member of the board of directors of St. Claraspital, a member of the central board of Swissvolley and president of Familycare Basel, the Baselland performance sports promotion organisation and Arlesheim football club. In 2021, he co-founded Kulturzirkus Arlesheim, where he has been Co-President and a member of the organising committee ever since. The Kulturzirkus is a local cultural festival that takes place in Arlesheim for nine weeks in summer and four weeks during Advent. Balz Stückelberger is married and lives with his family in Arlesheim. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Theatergenossenschaft Basel since the 13/14 season.
