Anne
Kersting Dramaturge

Anne Kersting is a dramaturge and curator for dance and performance and dedicates her work to the practices of hosting. From 2007 to 2011, together with Jochen Roller, she headed the Dance and Live Art department at Kampnagel in Hamburg. In 2009 she was a project coordinator and team member of the dance congress organised at Kampnagel under the direction of Sabine Gehm and Katharina von Wilcke. From 2014 to 2017 she was head of the Dance & Performance Department at the Freiburg Theatre and worked with numerous artists on the communicability and accessibility of dance and performance, including Antonia Baehr, Jenny Beyer, Josep Caballero García, LIGNA, Trajal Harrell, Sebastian Matthias, Ivana Müller, Mickaël Phelippeau, plan b, Antje Pfundtner, David Weber-Krebs, Gisèle Vienne, and WLDN- Joanne Leighton.She shares her dramaturgical practice with students at the FU-Berlin, the University of Hamburg, the Theatre Academy & Performance Studies Hamburg and as a mentor with the residents at K3-Choreografisches Zentrum Hamburg. Anne Kersting works continuously as a permanent dramaturgical team member with Josep Caballero Garcìa, Antje Pfundtner in Gesellschaft, Jenny Beyer, Patricia Carolin Mai, as a guest with ‹Meine Damen und Herren› and in France with Mickaël Phelippeau, Michel Schweizer and Alban Richard.In 2021, together with Alexandra Schmidt, she founded the dramaturgical training platform Meeting Point Dramaturgy to explore relational and dialogue-based practices with audiences.
