Raphael Skoda is a saxophonist and bass clarinettist, composer and sound artist from Basel. He completed his bachelor's and master's degree with Domenic Landolf, Mark Turner, Matthieu Michel and Lionel Loueke at the Jazz Campus Basel. During his studies, he also specialised in acoustic and electronic composition with Guillermo Klein and Jane Arnison. He plays in various formations and is currently working on his debut album. As part of his master's thesis, he composed a suite of eco-acoustic compositions on the subject of the biodiversity crisis, which will be released later this year. In the 23/24 season he is part of the band of 'Die Dreigroschenoper'.
