Amit Epstein, born in Tel Aviv, Israel, studied theatre studies (Thelma Yellin High School for Dance, Theatre and Performance), dance theatre (SNDD Amsterstam), fine arts (Bezalel Academy of Art and Design Jerusalem) and attended Vivienne Westwood's Haute Couture Master Class (University of the Arts Berlin). Since 2007 he has been working as a costume designer with directors such as Sebastian Nübling, Jan-Christoph Gockel and Yael Ronen. He designed the costumes for 'The Situation', which was invited to the 2016 Theatertreffen. The play was voted piece of the year. His costume design for the production 'Slippery Slope' by Yael Ronen was voted one of the highlights of the 2021/22 season in the Theater heute critics' survey. The production was invited to the 2022 Theatertreffen.
