Ted Gaier was born in Stuttgart in 1964. He is a founding member of the 'Goldenen Zitronen' and as such a multi-talent: lyricist, bassist, guitarist and keyboardist. He is also involved in numerous band projects (3 Normal Beatles, Les Robespierres, Schwabinggrad Ballett) and is the producer of various recordings (including Schnipo Schranke, Alte Sau, as well as co-producer of the last eight 'Zitronen' LPs). Ted Gaier has directed numerous music video clips and, together with Peter Ott, 'Hölle Hamburg'. In 2014 he won the German music video award MuVi with the video 'Der Investor' and in 2018 the German Film Critics Award for the best film score for Ott's 'Das Milan Protokol'. Ted Gaier has been working with Gintersdorfer/Klaßen as a composer, sound designer and stage musician since 2010. At the Theater Bremen he was most recently seen and heard in 'Les robots ne connaissent pas le blues' and 'Nathan der Weise, ein Weichmacher für den Glaubenspanzer', for example. At Theater Basel he will be seen with Gintersdorfer/Klaßen in 'Yopougon-Ring' in the 23/24 season.
