Tobias Stefan
Maurer Stage

Tobias Stefan Maurer, born in 1996, completed his Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design, specialising in Scenography, at the Basel School of Art and Design and the Design Academy Eindhoven. During his studies, he was jointly responsible for the stage design of Theatre Marie's 'Eroica' and the scenography of various exhibitions. After his studies, he worked in studios for exhibition design and then assisted with various productions in dance, opera and drama at Theater Basel. Here he designed the stage for the production 'Karneval der Tiere' directed by Franz Broich and the project 'Parabel über Leben und Tod'. He co-designed the set of the Alte Billettkasse. His works move in the ephemeral spectrum between design, narration and scenography and have been exhibited at the Dutch Design Week, the Forum Schlossplatz and the Aargauer Kunsthaus, among others. In the 23/24 season, he is designing the stage set for 'Kim'.
