Magal Direction

Saar Magal was born in Israel and studied at the Thelma Yalin Arts High School in Tel Aviv and at the Laban Centre for Movement and Dance in London. Her work moves between acting, choreography, opera and visual arts. She has developed projects for the Batsheva Dance Company, Schauspiel Frankfurt ('Ten Odd Emotions'), Schauspiel Köln ('Love Me More'), Burgtheater Wien (' (Ob)sessions'), Staatsoper unter den Linden ('A Monteverdi Project'), Bayerische Staatsoper ('Jephtas Daughter', 'Hacking Wagner'), among others. Saar Magal teaches at the ART Institute for Advanced Theatre at Harvard University, at the University of Chicago and at universities in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
