A big bang of dance and music
The world is in free fall. Bodies rush around a black stage landscape towards their ultimate demise, pushing themselves to the point of exhaustion in ritual dances of death. Dark and disturbing lighting, surreal scenes, pure emotion and live music from a mini orchestra on stage create an oppressive, apocalyptic sentiment offset with moments of intimate and unexpected joy. Hofesh Shechter's choreographies storm the stage with raw power and unrivalled for their originality and political relevance.
Shechter is a ruthless observer of the present. Above all, though, he is able to produce art, even from apocalyptic scenarios, that captivates the viewers emotionally while sending shock waves of realisation through their minds.
