Bacovich Choreographie

Igor Bacovich, Italian dancer, choreographer and dance teacher, studied at Accademia Nazionale di Danza and completed his training at Codarts in the Netherlands. While in the Netherlands, he worked with various choreographers, including Bruno Listopad, Krisztina de Chatel and Nanine Linning. He was awarded the prestigious Premio Nazionale Sfera D'Oro per la Danza in Italy in 2021.

Igor has been working with his partner, Iratxe Ansa, on various projects since 2013, which see them choreographing, acting, teaching, organising events and producing performances. They have so far worked in more than thirty countries and choreographed over twenty dance performances, which have been performed at renowned festivals and famous international dance institutions. Together they founded and manage the company Metamorphosis Dance, which is known for its virtuoso and audacious dance style and with which they have developed their own teaching method: the Metamorphosis Method. In the 2022/23 season, their dance style can be experienced at Theater Basel in the double bill evening ‹Imbalanced Parallels›.
