Eva Veronica Born studied Architecture at the University of the Arts Berlin and at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. After graduating, she has been working as a freelance stage designer since 2012. As a scenographer and architect, Eva is active in the tension-laden realm of urban space, stage design and architecture and develops objects, spaces, processes and artistic interventions for various theatres and festivals, including Volksbühne Berlin, Münchner Kammerspiele, Berliner Festspiele, Schauspiel Köln, Ruhrtriennale and Berliner Ensemble. Together with director Johan Simons, she was invited to the Theatertreffen festival in Berlin in both 2012 and 2013 as a stage designer. Between 2015 and 2022, Eva spent each year designing the festival campus for the Theatertreffen festival at Haus der Berliner Festspiele. Since 2016, she has, as an artist, been designing and delivering the official award for the ten productions invited to Berliner Festspiele.
