The Spanish dancer Diego Benito Gutiérrez began his training at the Real Conservatorio Professional de Danza in Madrid and then moved to NDT II in The Hague as an Intern. During his training he won several competitions. He began his professional career in 2005 with the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève and as a freelance dancer. From 2007 to 2009 he danced with the Company Introdans, Netherlands and since 2009 he is a member of the Ballett Theater Basel. Since 2016 he is coach at the Prix de Lausanne for Richard Wherlock’s choreographies. He has worked with choreographers such as Nacho Duato, Mats Ek, Hans van Manan, Jiri Kylian, Johan Inger, Alexander Ekman, Hofesh Shechter, Ohad Naharin, Ed Wubbe and Richard Wherlock.
