Vivian
Vivian Zatta was born in Basel, where he received his first singing lessons from Irène Pellmont before studying singing at the Arrigo Boito Conservatory in Parma and at the Music School in Fiesole under the guidance of Massimo Sardi. In 2002, he also attended a master class with Prof. Ernst Haefliger. Vivian has won the Ernst Göhner Foundation Competition in Zürich and the award of the Fiesole School of Music, as well as the international singing competitions Roere in Musica and Schlossoper Haldenstein, and the Vocal Chamber Music Competition of Conegliano Veneto. He made his debut in 1998 with ‹Vier ernste Gesänge› by J. Brahms at the Florence Music Festival. Vivian has also made a name for himself as a concert singer in Italy, singing soloist roles such as (‹La Bohème›), Dulcamara (‹L’Elisir d’amore›) and Graf Almaviva (‹Le nozze di Figaro›). From 2008 to 2010, he was a member of the opera choir at Opernhaus Zürich, before singing in the Theater Basel choir. Today, he can be heard regularly singing smaller and medium solo roles in Basel.
