Thomas Anthony Visser is an established light designer specialized in dance since 2003. Tom grew up in the countryside of west Ireland and in 1998, at the age of 18, started working in theatre. In 2003 he joined Nederlands Dans Theater and since then has been primarily creating designs in the field of dance. Tom has created the lighting design for multiple Olivier Award (best new dance production) winners. He has created designs for: Crystal Pite, Alexander Ekman, Hofesh Shechter, The Royal Ballet, Opera de Paris, National Opera and Ballet, National Ballet of Canada and many more. In the season 22/23, his lighting design can be seen at Theater Basel in Hofesh Shechter's ‹Grand Finale›, as well as in Marne and Imre van Opstal's new creation as part of the Double Bill ‹Imbalanced Parallels›.
