Klara Mand works as a freelance stage and costume designer, both individually and as part of her collective ‹u n› for theatre, performance and film. Her main interest is the research and development of scenographies as interactive, communicative fields for people and other subjects and objects. She has worked with Ariel Ashbel, Eli Petel, Caroline Beach, Charles Washington and others at HAU and Uferstudios in Berlin, Steirischer Herbst in Graz, FFT Düsseldorf, Festspielhaus Hellerau in Dresden and at Kunstfest Weimar. Klara was the recipient of a scholarship from the German sponsorship organisation ‹Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes› from 2018 to 2021. After graduating in ‹Stage Setting and Costume Design› from HfBK Dresden, she studied Transdisciplinary Studies at Zürich University of the Arts (ZHdK). Since 2020, she has been an assistant and lecturer on the BA programme ‹Scenography› in Zürich.
