Tram

From Bahnhof SBB take tram no. 2, 8, 11, alight at the ‹Bankverein› stop. Walk down Steinentorberg towards Barfüsserplatz. Theater Basel is located behind Tinguely fountain on the left. Or take tram no. 10, alight at the ‹Theater› stop.

Bicycles

Parking for bicycles is provided all around Theater Basel.

Theater Basel car park

Monday to Saturday from 7 pm, Sunday and public holidays from one hour before the start of the performance (CHF 7).

  • 150 parking spaces, reservations not permitted 
  • Access via Steinentorstrasse

Wheelchair access adapted entrance:

  • ‹Theater› stop: Use the lift in the theatre shopping arcade, which provides direct access to the theatre.
  • ‹Bankverein› stop: The theatre is within easy reach by walking down Steinenberg and past the Tinguely fountain.
  • Temporary ‹Bankverein› stop: The next entrance is via the theatre café (just behind Elisabethenkirche).
