Reading: Correspondence between Ingeborg Bachmann and Max Frisch

In spring 1958, Max Frisch writes to the «young poet» Ingeborg Bachmann to tell her how enthusiastic he is about her radio play. An exchange of letters begins with around 300 pieces of correspondence from the time they met until long after they parted as one of the most famous couples in German-language literature. Closeness and distance, admiration and rivalry, jealousy, impulses to escape and fears of loss, writers' existence and togetherness - the themes of the autobiographical testimonies are intimate, timeless and world literature.
