The young soprano Regula Mühlemann grew up in Lucerne and studied there with Prof. Barbara Locher. In summer 2012 she made her debut as Young Papagena in the opera 'Das Labyrinth' by P. v. Winter at the Salzburger Festspiele. She made guest appearances as Gretel in 'Hänsel und Gretel' at the Teatro Regio in Turin, as Blonde in 'Die Entführung aus dem Serail' at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples and sang the role of Rosina in Mozart's 'La finta semplice' at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. Other engagements included Juliette in 'Roméo et Juliette' at the Luzerner Theater as well as the role of Echo in 'Ariadne auf Naxos' at La Scala in Milan, Serpetta in 'La finta giardiniera' at the Berliner Staatsoper, the Isolier in Rossini's 'Le comte Ory' alongside Cecilia Bartoli at the Theater an der Wien and Susanna in Mozart's 'Le nozze di Figaro' at the Grand Théâtre de Genève as well as at the Opernhaus Zürich in 2019. In the 2019/20 season she sang Susanna in 'Le nozze di Figaro' at the Salzburger Mozartwoche and Adina in Donizetti's 'L'elisir d'amore' at the Wiener Staatsoper. In summer 2020 she returned to the Salzburger Festspiele in the role of Pamina ('Die Zauberflöte'). She also appears in concert on Europe's most important stages. She is a Sony Classical exclusive artist and won the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik in February 2017 for her debut album 'Mozart Arias'. In 2018 Regula Mühlemann was awarded the Opus Klassik in the category Young Artist of the Year (Voice).
