Evelin Facchini is a freelance choreographer, dancer and performer, born in Rome and living in Berlin. She works internationally in dance, theater and opera. She graduated from the Ballet School of the Opera House in Rome and continued her studies in contemporary dance in Canada. She has worked with Rome Opera House, Romeo Castellucci, Socìetas (Italy), Ballet Classique de France et Montreal, Concordia University of Montreal (Canada), Micha van Hoecke, Fabrizio Monteverde, Larrio Ekson, Dina Abu Hamdan (Jordan), Teatret Om (Denmark), Floriane Facchini & Cie (France) and Marta Górnicka, among others. She conducts educational projects and workshops for students, professionals and teachers in the fields of dance and choreographic composition. From 2011 to 2018 she directed the dance studio 'Theatre Dance Division' in Rome. Her personal project 'Metalouda' was born from the intention to share and develop her composition practice and choreographic research by creating installations, short films and performances. In 2022 the project 'Political Voice Institute' was created at Maxim Gorki Teater in Berlin with Marta Górnicka and in 2023 her production 'Wry/Second layer_anatomy of deception' will be performed at Heizhaus-Uferstudios in Berlin. Since 2011 she has been working with Romeo Castellucci - in 2023/24 for 'Daphne' at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden as well as for 'Requiem' at Theater Basel.
