Barbara
Barbara Colceriu, born in Frankfurt (Oder) in 1992, was already on stage at the age of five. She sang and played with the 'Frankfurter Musikantenfamilie'. During her studies at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin, she performed as part of the movement choir in 'Cry Baby' at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, directed by René Pollesch. The play was named performance of the year 18/19 by the Berlin theatre community.
For 'Pretty when you cry', Barbara Colceriu won the prizes for 'Best Play' and 'Best Acting Performance' at the FITUA Theatre Festival 2019 in Agadir, Morocco, as well as the sponsorship award at the Federal Competition of German-Speaking Drama Students 2019. The production was shown both at the Burning Issues Festival 2019 and at the Berliner Ensemble on the 'Gender' focus day. She won the Rosenbaum Foundation's 'Prize for Chanson' at the National Singing Competition at the Friedrichstadt-Palast. She is the winner of the Götz-George Young Talent Award 2021 for her performance in the short film 'Liebe, Pflicht und Hoffnung'. She has been a permanent member of the Basler Compagnie since the 20/21 season.
