Diego Savini was born in Città di Castello, where he attended the Scuola Musicale G. Puccini. He completed his vocal studies at the Conservatorio di Perugia with distinction in 2017. Various master classes complemented his training, including with Elio Battaglia and Max von Egmund. He made his stage debut in 2012 at the Teatro degli Illuminati in Città di Castello as Belcore in Donizetti's 'L'Elisir d'amore'. He has won awards at various competitions, including the Ticino Music Festival and Silvio Varviso in Lugano. In 2019 he attended the Accademia Rossiniana Alberto Zedda in Pesaro. Past productions include 'Il viaggio a Reims' at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro and Donizetti's 'Marino Faliero' at the Donizetti Opera Festival in Bergamo, 'L'Italiana in Algeri' at Theater Bremen in the role of Taddeo and Don Bartolo in 'Il barbiere di Siviglia' at Opera Lombardia and Teatro Verdi di Trieste. His operatic repertoire also includes Don Carissimo in Scarlatti's 'La Dirindina', Uberto in Pergolesi's 'La serva padrona', Dulcamara in 'L'Elisir d'Amore', Figaro in Paiseillo's 'Il Barbiere di Siviglia' and Leporello in 'Don Giovanni'. On the concert stage he has appeared in Handel's Messiah, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle and Bach's 'St Matthew Passion', among others. In 2018 he sang at the opening concert of the Meet in Beijing at the NCPA Theatre in Beijing with the Beijing National Orchestra and at the Italian Cultural Institute in Brussels.
