Pablo Chemor was born in 1981 in Mexico City, where he also studied piano and music theory. As a member of the Mexican folklore group Ofrenda, he has toured Asia and Europe since childhood. After two years as a scholarship student at the United World College in Wales, he took piano lessons with Guadalupe Parrondo and in 2001 began his studies in composition at King's College London, where he studied world music and music theory. For four years he was the artistic programme director of the Mexican festival Instrumenta Oaxaca, and in 2013 he was artistic director of the festival Sonoro in Morelos, Mexico. He took acting classes at La Casa del Teatro in Mexico City.
He currently composes and produces music for film and theatre, and is also a professor of music bachelor at the Academia de Arte de Florencia in Mexico City. He composed the music for the feature films 'Marea de arena' (2009) by Gustavo Montiel and 'Elvira' (2014) by Manolo Caro, among others, and performs on stage as a musician and actor. Among others, he has worked with Hector Bourges ('Estado fallido'), Mauricio García Lozano ('Las relaciones sexuales de Shakespeare y Marlowe', 'Romeo y Julieta', 'Macbeth'), Juliana Faesler, Clarissa Malheiros ('El rey se muere'), Alonso Ruizpalacios ('El beso', 'Reincidentes'). At the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg he has already worked with Antú Romero Nunes on 'La flauta mágica / Die Zauberflöte'. Most recently he performed as a live musician in David Gaitán's 'Der Wilde' at Schauspiel Köln.
