Stephan Q. Eberhard is an object artist, puppet coach, player, builder, actor and director. During his studies, his first directorial work 'A Theatre of Things' was invited by the Unesco International Theatre Institute to represent Switzerland. He was awarded the Hirschmann Scholarship and received residencies at the Figura Theatre Festival and Swiss Theatertreffen. Recently, he won two of Switzerland's major newcomer competitions: Die Tankstelle Bühne with 'Dinge, die bleiben' and Premio with 'Daddys_4_Future'.
He founded Futur2, whose first project '2042 - A Play Laboratory for Futures' was selected by an international jury to set new impulses in theatre for young audiences, and won the competition 'kicks! Performing Arts'.
Stephan Q. Eberhard is part of Hallimasch Komplex, whose works include 'homo habitat' (Bauhaus Dessau), 'mushed rooms' (Schauspielhaus Vienna) and 'Medea' (Kampnagel Hamburg, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Fast Forward, FIAT Festival Montenegro with awards for 'Best Director' and 'Best Play').
His heart beats for the theatre of things. Stephan Q. Eberhard has made a name for himself in recent years as an expert in object and puppet theatre in Switzerland: as a puppeteer for Nikolaus Habjan (Bayreuth Festival, Theater Basel), in Zurich (Theater Stadelhofen, Schule und Kultur, Zurich Opera) and for Coldplay, as well as in workshops and as a coach ('Was macht ds Wätter'). And he likes ducks.
