A never-ending song with a large cast and band
Ovid's Metamorphoses are the source of many well-known stories: from Shakespeare, Goethe and Kafka to Lynch and Cronenberg. The anarchic power of metamorphosis is at home in storytelling. And it can even leave death behind. Whoever tells stories is right. Whoever tells stories is alive. Antú Romero Nunes stages the classic about gods, humans and heroes, monsters, nymphs and muses in an everyday disguise. A cross-genre round dance. A song that never stops playing.
NEW! Digital bookstall
Together with our dramaturgy team, Basel’s arts centre Bider and Tanner has been curating the bookstall for our performances for many years. The wide range of books, CDs, DVDs, catalogues and even sheet music is now available 24/7 in the online shop. It’s worth taking a regular look.
