Verónica Segovia Torres was born in Barcelona and trained as a dancer at the Institut del Teatre, in Madrid, and with Maria de Avila and Arantxa Argüelles. From 2000 to 2006, she danced with companies such as the Ballet de Zaragoza, the New York Contemporary Company Ballet, and the English National Ballet. From 2006 to 2007, she was a member of the Ballet Madrid ensemble, and from 2009 to 2014, she was a member of ballettmainz under the direction of Pascal Touzeau. After joining the ballet company of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz as a guest during the 14/15 season, she became a permanent member of the company under artistic director Karl Alfred Schreiner the following season. In 19/20, she joined the Staatsballett Hannover (Marco Goecke/Christian Blossfeld). She has danced in repertoire works and world premieres by Pascal Touzeau, Mats Ek, Jirí Kylián, Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, Marco Goecke, Patrick de Bana, Davide Bombana, Giovanni Garda, Robert North, Didy Veldman, Georg Reischl, Jacopo Godani and Andonis Foniadakis, among others. She has already appeared in creating her own choreographies. Since the 25/26 season, she has been engaged by Ballet Basel under the artistic direction of Marco Goecke.
