Takako
Nishi Ballet mistress

Takako Nishi, born in Japan, trained with Tomiko Harada. She studied at the Tokyo Ballet School and the Ecole Supérieure de Danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower under the direction of Monique Loudières, among others. She danced with the Cannes Jeunes Ballet under Monique Loudières, with Ed Wubbe at the Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, Introdans Arnhem under the direction of Roel Voorintholt, and ballettmainz under the direction of Pascal Touzeau. From 2014 to 2018, Takako Nishi supported the Gauthier Dance Company at the Theaterhaus Stuttgart as ballet mistress, where she supervised pieces by numerous renowned choreographers, including Marco Goecke. This collaboration led to an invitation to become ballet mistress at the Staatsballett Hannover for the 19/20 season and, from summer 2025, at Ballett Basel. Takako Nishi also works as a guest trainer.
