Svenja Koch, born in Lübeck in 1992, studied acting at the Zurich University of the Arts for her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. During her studies, she was a guest at the Schauspielhaus Zürich in the 17/18 season and in the acting studio at the Chemnitz Theatre in 18/19. After graduating, she worked as an actress at the Konstanz Theatre in the 19/20 season. In 2021, she began a master's degree in rhetoric and speech science at the University of Regensburg and joined the HORA Theatre. Since then, she has accompanied numerous plays as a theatre pedagogue for Theater HORA. Among others ‹Die Vögel› (Schauspielhaus Zürich, 2025) ‹Die drei Räuber› (Theater St Gallen, 2025), ‹Schule der Liebenden› (Fabriktheater Rote Fabrik, 2023), ‹Riesenhaft in Mittelerde› (Schauspielhaus Zürich, 2023), ‹Der kaukasische Kreidekreis› (Salzburger Festspiele, 2023) and ‹Sacre!› (Tanzhaus Zürich, 2022). In addition to her work for Theater HORA, she also realises her own projects, most recently ‹The Shift› (concept/direction/play, 2024). In the 25/26 season, she is providing theatre education for the production ‹Gesellschaft mit besonderer Hingabe (GmbH)›.
