Bächli Drama

Silja Bächli, born in 1973 in the canton of Aargau, studied acting at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. During her studies, she took up an engagement at the Staatstheater Stuttgart, where she was a permanent member of the ensemble until 2013. She has worked with directors including René Pollesch, Stephan Kimmig, Martin Kušej, Karin Henkel, Roger Vontobel and Lola Arias and has performed at the Münchner Kammerspiele, Schauspielhaus Bochum, Residenztheater Munich and Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, among others. Silja Bächli already appeared in Basel in 2003 and 2005 in two productions by Sebastian Nübling: ‹Reiher› and ‹Virus›. In the 24/25 season, she will be on stage at Theater Basel for the play ‹1984›.
