Sébastien
Sébastien Jacobs came to theatre via university theatre during his studies at the University of Louvain-La-Neuve in Belgium and also has a degree in Romance philology and theatre studies. Today he works internationally as an actor, performer, dancer, singer, musician, sound designer and director. Since 1994, he has collaborated with almost 30 artists in almost 80 works - in addition to performance, music and other occasional projects. Tours have taken him to well over 100 cities in almost 40 countries around the world. He was or is also a member of the (short-lived or eternal) groups Fishticks Boys Quintet, Unenglish Name, René Binamé et les Roues de Secours and MaulWürfe.
He is self-taught in singing (especially in the upper register), plays guitar, bass, flute, keyboard, cello, viola da gamba and various other instruments. He is a French speaker but has sufficient knowledge to play roles in Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Dutch, English, Latin, Old French or Walloon. Sébastien Jacobs has been working with Philippe Quesne since the founding of Cie Vivarium Studio in 2003. In the 24/25 season, he will be performing in ‹Chronicles of Mars›.
