Sakis Birbilis is a visionary lighting designer, who has been passionately devoted to theatrical, music and dance productions since 1996. He has worked for many international theatres and dance institutions, as well as for artists such as Adonis Foniadakis and Douglas Lee. Further, Sakis has worked with countless renowned Greek directors and choreographers at numerous theatres, such as the Greek National Theatre and the Greek National Opera, and has designed the lighting for more than 200 theatre and dance performances. His stage and lighting design can be experienced at Theater Basel in the 2022/23 season in the latest creation of Andonis Foniadakis as part of the double bill evening ‹Explosiv!›.
