Sahar Rahimi, born in Tehran in 1981, is a director and performance artist. Her works are somewhere between theatre, performance, installation and video. She studied at the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies in Gießen from 2003 to 2008 and is a co-founder of the performance group Monster Truck. Monster Truck realises projects nationally and internationally, stages and gives guest performances in the independent theatre scene and at municipal theatres, including Sophiensälen in Berlin, Kampnagel in Hamburg, Münchner Kammerspiele, Schauspielhaus Bochum and NT Gent, and has been a guest at numerous festivals such as the Impulse Festival, Heidelberger Stückemarkt, Radikal Jung Festival, Israel Festival (Jerusalem) and lagos_live Festival. In 2019, the group received the Tabori Prize for its complete works. In the 2021/22 season, Sahar Rahimi directed the world premiere of ‹MILF› by Anne Haug at Theater Basel.
