Remo
Beuggert
Actor
Remo Beuggert, born in 1982, joined Theatre HORA at the age of 25. Since then, he has been involved in more than 30 different projects at the theatre. He loves language and puns, likes to think conceptually during rehearsals and has also directed several plays himself. He particularly likes plays that tell a classic story. But he also likes to play everything else. Just as he has a weakness for improvisation and usually finds it easy to take what comes - at least when it comes to artistic content. He is good at empathising with others and moderating between different positions. For him, the most important thing in theatre is cohesion, because he believes: «A theatre group doesn't work if everyone wants to do what they want.» That's why he usually says what he thinks, but always politely. This makes him a universally respected colleague who is «like a big brother» to many in the ensemble. He is also a gifted dancer: his chair dance in Jérôme Bel's ‹Disabled Theater› remains legendary to this day. And he has a keen sense of music, which is why he sometimes works as a theatre musician for his colleagues' plays, for example in 2022 for ‹Horror und andere Sachen› by his colleague Tiziana Pagliaro at the Munich Kammerspiele and in 2024 for ‹Leonce und Lena – HORA total› together with Hans-Jakob Mühlethaler. In the 25/26 season, he will be on stage for the first time at Theater Basel in ‹Gesellschaft mit besonderer Hingabe (GmbH)›.
