British lighting designer Nigel Edwards is one of the most influential figures on the international art scene. From the world's major stages to intimate studio theatres, from dance and drama to music and opera, he is regarded as a boundary-crosser in the performing arts. He has been an integral part of the British theatre scene for over three decades and has worked with renowned companies such as the Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre and English National Opera. His work as a member of the performance group Forced Entertainment is noteworthy. Nigel Edwards has participated in the world premieres of major works including Sarah Kane's controversial dramas ‹Cleansed›, ‹Crave› and ‹4.48 Psychosis›. He has also left his mark on the music industry, collaborating with legendary artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Jeff Beck and the Yellow Magic Orchestra. In the dance world, he appeared with the famous ballerina Natalia Osipova in the piece ‹Flutter›. In the 24/25 season, Nigel Edwards is responsible as lighting designer for the dance production ‹Go With Your Heart› by Tim Etchells and Vlatka Horvat.
