Spanish dancer Nazareth Panadero was born in Madrid in 1955. She studied classical dance with Ana Lázaro and Juliette Durand at the Madrid Conservatory and later with Maria de Ávila in Zaragoza. After two years at the contemporary ballet theatre of Anger from 1976 to 1978, she joined Peter Goss' studio in Paris and danced with the Ballet de Poche. In 1979, she joined Pina Bausch's Tanztheater in Wuppertal and was part of the company until 2021. She saw Pina Bausch as a great artist whom she greatly admired for her consistency, sensitivity, bravery, honesty and immense imagination. Nazareth Panadero continues to dance as a guest in several of Pina Bausch's pieces and passes on her roles to younger dancers.
