Mikael Marklund, dancer and producer from Sweden, began his dance career with breakdancing and trained with P.A.R.T.S before joining the Rosas Dance Company. He later spent six years exploring experimental dance with artist Laurent Chétouane, pushing the boundaries of the art form. In 2018, a profound personal loss changed his artistic direction and prompted him to explore the broader impact of dance. In collaboration with the Berlin breakdance community, he created a documentary film and various projects exploring the intangible aspects of existence. Marklund's work emphasises communication, individuality and the fluidity of space and time, seeking to transcend cultural boundaries and create a universal connection. For ‹Der Fall›, Mikael Marklund is working as a dramaturge with Ballett Basel.
